Free SSL for your website

SSL certificates have become must nowadays. It may not be a big deal for bussiness people out there. However, if you are a student or a learner and  wish to have an SSL certificate for your blog or portfolio then CLOUDFARE may be the right option for you. Follow these steps to get SSL for FREE !! Let's begin...

Step 1:
Login to Cloudfare

Step 2:
Write your site URL and click "begin scan".

Step 3:

You will be asked to veerify all the DNS records for your site. You can add more if you want. Records that display an orange cloud icon are accelerated and protected by Cloudflare.
On the other hand, records that display a grey coloured icon will bypass cloudfare. Make sure your records are orange. If not, do so and click on continue.

Step 4:

In the payment section, select FREE plan and click continue.

Step 5 :

You will be given two new Nameservers.
Just go to your domain registrar and use these custom cloudfare nameservers.

Step 6 :

We are almost done! Just make sure to update nameservers properly. You will see many customizable options in the next step. Keep them as they are. It may take upto 24 hours to update nameservers. Sit back and Relax!

Once it is done, check your site. It should probably have the green coloured lock symbol and HTTPS prefixed. It is important to note that this certificate is a shared one. But it doesn't matter because it is free. You can get a personal SSL certificate by using paid plans.
